Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating additional individuals who may have been victims of Sergio Ortiz.

Sergio Ortiz has been charged by the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office with uploading a video of himself and the victim having sexual intercourse onto an online pornographic website.

The victim did not agree to her image being uploaded onto the Internet and was only made aware of the video through a co-worker.

In deciding what he wanted to do for his final project, Parker Johnson—a 15 year old Eagle Scout candidate from Fountain View, Calif.—had initially thought of building a sand volleyball court in his local park. Parker says he was first alerted to the dangers of pornography from social media posts, confirming the scourge through online research and interviews with people damaged by or addicted to erotica.

Ortiz met the victim through an online dating website.

At some point, they mutually agreed to have sex together, and Ortiz took the victim back to his residence.

Websites such as Is Anyone Up, which no longer operates, allowed site visitors to upload pictures of others, often of ex-partners, or people who have participated in 'sexting' and sent nude or sensitive pictures of themselves to another.

Pictures taken from Snapchat, which allows users to send photos to others that self destruct after a few seconds, have often resurfaced on revenge porn sites after recipients have screen-grabbed photos, allowing them to save the image.“Until now, there was no tool for law enforcement to protect victims,” the bill's author, Sen. “Too many have had their lives upended because of an action of another that they trusted.”Widely publicised campaigns have long called for revenge porn to be made an offence, including End Revenge led by Holly Jacobs, who started the site after her ex boyfriend published explicit pictures and photos of her on the internet.
